Greeting from Dr.Matthew Fahey
Head of DLTS International School
Dear Parents, Students, and Teachers,
Congratulations to all our students and teachers on another successful round of MAP tests! Your hard work and dedication continue to shine, and I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the wonderful results. I do hope many of our students sign up for Summer School. If any students do not join Summer School, I would encourage them to continue their reading during the break. I am worried students will lose ground after such hard work this year.
I am also excited to announce that we will be holding the grand opening of Building 4 on the 29th of March! This will be a fantastic occasion, and we look forward to seeing as many parents as possible join us for this milestone. On that day, we will also unveil our new student uniforms, which has generated much excitement around the school. The new look reflects our growing community and commitment to excellence.
We can’t wait to celebrate these developments together!
Warm regards,
Dr. Matthew Fahey

Dear Preschool Families,
Help Your Child Practice English This Summer!
The school year is almost over, and we are very proud of how much our students have learned! Over the long summer break, it’s important to keep practicing English in fun and simple ways. Here are some easy activities to help your child keep learning!
- Read Together Every Day
Reading is a great way to learn new words! Look at picture books in English and talk about the pictures. Ask simple questions like, “What do you see?” or “What color is this?” - Sing Songs and Rhymes
Songs and nursery rhymes help children learn new words and sounds. Sing together in English and use hand movements to make it fun! - Talk About Daily Activities
Use simple English words when talking to your child. For example, when getting dressed, say “Shirt on!” or when eating, say “Yummy apple!” This helps them hear and learn English naturally. - Play Simple Games
Play games like “I Spy” or naming objects around the house. Try pointing to things and saying their names in English. Let your child repeat after you! - Watch and Listen in English
Watch short cartoons or listen to English songs and stories. Pause to talk about what is happening in simple words. - Join DLTS Summer Camp
Summer camp is a great way for children to keep using English while participating in hands-on activities and making new friends. We recommend joining our summer camp for a fun learning experience! Even signing up for just a few weeks will help their learning stay fresh and continue the routines they are accustomed to, even if they are not available for the entire session.
With these simple and fun activities, your child will keep growing in their English skills all summer. Thank you for your support this year.
Warm regards,
Ms. Jennifer Bradley

Greeting from Ms. Rebecca Suangoon
Head of DLTS Primary
Dear parents,
Students are now completing MAP testing and final exams in the Primary School. While much preparation goes into these assessments, it is important to remember that they are just one piece of the puzzle in understanding your child’s progress. At DLTS, we use a variety of assessments—including classwork, projects, and observations—to gain a more complete picture of each student’s learning and development. These different methods help us recognise not only academic achievement but also creativity, problem-solving, and personal growth.
As we approach the final three weeks of the academic year, we have many exciting Primary events to celebrate our students’ achievements:
- Friday, March 14th – Values Day: Families are welcome to attend the assemblies, where students will be presented with certificates.
- Tuesday, March 18th – Grades 3-6 STEM Showcase
- Wednesday, March 19th – Grades 1-2 STEM Showcase
- Friday, March 21st – Final Day Celebration: The Student Council is organising a fun-filled day with dress-ups, activities, and class parties to mark the end of the year.
We look forward to celebrating your child’s achievements with you at the Values Day and STEM Showcase. Thank you for your trust in our school and for being a valued part of our learning community. Your support makes a meaningful difference in your child’s education.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful end to the school year, and we hope to see you at these special events!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Rebecca Suangoon

Physical Education Unit: Striking, Fielding and Targets.
Students in our Physical Education program have been thoroughly engaged in a dynamic Striking and Fielding unit, where they’ve been honing their skills in striking a ball with their hands, feet, and a baseball bat.
This unit has given students a chance to improve their hand-eye coordination, footwork, and teamwork while mastering the fundamentals of various sports.
Younger students focused on striking balls with their hands and feet, practicing control, accuracy, and movement. As they progressed, they gained confidence in their ability to strike the ball in different ways, preparing them for more complex challenges.
The upper primary students took things to the next level by learning the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, fielding, and base running. They applied their skills in actual baseball games, which not only enhanced their understanding of the sport but also fostered a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to Mr. Ramón and Mr. Justin!
We are thrilled to celebrate Mr. Ramón and Mr. Justin for successfully completing their PYP Leading the Learning courses!
Mr. Ramón is leading our STEM and Design programmes while providing guidance to colleagues across the curriculum.
Mr. Justin is leading Grade 1, developing the curriculum in a way that is inspiring colleagues across the PYP.
Their commitment to professional growth contributes to our school’s IB knowledge and strengthens our educational community.
Join us in congratulating them on this fantastic achievement!
Thank you, Mr. Ramón and Mr. Justin, for your continued excellence!
Magazine Club: Life at DLTS
Pi, a Grade 6 student at DLTS International School, has created a fantastic PDF that offers parents a glimpse into a day in the life of a DLTS student.
Her submission highlights the engaging classes, exciting extracurricular clubs, and the well-balanced schedule that keeps students active and inspired. Parents can explore how academics, arts, and physical education come together to create a dynamic learning experience.
The PDF also features details about the much-anticipated Grade 6 residential trip to Kanchanaburi, giving insight into the adventures and learning opportunities awaiting students.
With clear information and a student’s perspective, Pi’s work is a wonderful way for families to see what makes DLTS a great place to learn and grow.
