Nov 2024 Edition 1

Greeting from Dr.Matthew Fahey

Head of DLTS International School

Welcome Back to Semester 2! I hope everyone had a refreshing holiday, filled with memorable moments and time to recharge. As we return, I am excited to welcome each of you back to campus and look forward to the many opportunities this new semester will bring. Semester 2 is a wonderful chance to build on the hard work of the first half of the year, and I am confident we will continue to accomplish great things together.

One of the most exciting updates for this semester is the nearing completion of our new building. The progress has been inspiring, and we are just a few weeks away from fully realizing this vision. Within the next four weeks, we expect the building to be 100% complete, and soon after, our students and families will be able to visit firsthand the new facilities that will enhance our learning environment.

As we prepare to open this new space, we are making plans to host tours for parents and students. These tours will give you a preview of the modern classrooms, collaborative spaces, and specialised areas that will support a wide variety of activities and programmes. We believe these additions will provide even more opportunities for our students to explore, create, and grow.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we begin this exciting new phase for our school community. I am looking forward to a fantastic semester filled with learning, discovery, and connection. Here’s to a successful and inspiring Semester 2!

Warm regards,
Dr. Matthew Fahey
Head of School

Greeting from Ms.Jennifer Bradley

Head of DLTS Preschool

Dear DLTS Preschool Families,

Welcome to Semester 2! We are thrilled to welcome our new students and warmly welcome back our returning students as we begin the second half of the school year. This past week has been full of energy and excitement as everyone reunites with teachers and friends following the October holiday.

Last week, we enjoyed a fantastic Halloween celebration, with students enthusiastically showcasing their costumes and participating in Trick-or-Treat activities and crafts. Looking ahead, we’re excited to celebrate more cultural festivities this month, with our Thai department organizing activities for Loy Krathong.

In November, we will also place a special emphasis on reading with your children. Watch for more information coming home this week about our upcoming “Celebrate Our Love of Reading” Week, which will take place across the preschool. This event promises to be a wonderful way to inspire a love for reading in our young learners.

We’re looking forward to an engaging, fun-filled semester ahead and are excited to see the growth and joy it will bring to each of our students!

Warm regards,

Ms. Jennifer Bradley

Greeting from Ms. Rebecca Suangoon

Head of DLTS Primary

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the start of Semester 2! It’s wonderful to see the students settling back into their routines, refreshed and ready for an exciting new semester of learning. Thank you to all the families who supported their children in completing the holiday homework over the break. Your efforts have helped maintain the momentum in their learning, and we greatly appreciate your partnership.

This week, we kicked off the semester with Halloween festivities—a delightful day filled with costumes, laughter, and treats. The students had a fantastic time celebrating together and brought so much spirit to the event!

Looking ahead, we have some exciting experiences planned for this semester. In just a couple of weeks, our Grade 1 students will head out for their field trip, while our Grade 6 students prepare for their residential trip to Kanchanaburi at the end of November. Later in the semester, students in Grades 3 to 5 will also have the chance to attend a residential trip. These outdoor learning experiences offer invaluable opportunities for growth, discovery, and creating cherished memories. Reflecting on my own school years, these were some of the moments I treasured most—learning beyond the classroom and building lasting friendships along the way. We encourage all students to participate, as these trips are an essential part of our curriculum.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support in your child’s learning journey. We look forward to a successful and memorable semester together!

Warm regards,

Rebecca Suangoon
