In our International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), lessons are designed by expert teachers to challenge students, inspire inquiry, and show connections between their learning and the real world.
At the heart of the MYP are the ten IB Learner Profile Attributes (LPA), which help students develop core characteristics such as being caring, open-minded, and reflective. The programme also focuses on building future-proof Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including communication, research, teamwork, self-management, and critical thinking. These skills are systematically taught through tasks, projects, and assessments, equipping students for success in academics and beyond.
The MYP is exclusively delivered by specialist teachers, who teach Thai, Thai Social Studies, English, Chinese, Mathematics, Sciences, Individuals and Societies, Design, Physical Education, Health, Visual Arts, Music, Literacy and Homeroom. Each year, two or more teachers collaborate to create Interdisciplinary Units (IDUs), integrating multiple subjects and allowing students to explore content through a multidisciplinary lens.
Beyond the classroom, the programme encourages students to apply their knowledge to make a positive impact within their school and local communities. Key milestones, such as the Grade 8 Community Project, challenge students to identify real-world issues, develop creative solutions, and share their growth through a presentation to the school community. In addition to the academic curriculum, MYP students engage in community service and special interest clubs.
